Nick Mauss Limited Edition Crystal Flowers LP

The artist Nick Mauss produced this compilation LP based on a 1949 poetry volume by the poet and painter Florine Stettheimer, titled Crystal Flowers. At Nick’s invitation, various artists, musicians, and writers transposed Stettheimer’s poems into song or vocal interpretation for this LP compilation.

Nick recently dug out the last seven copies of the record from his personal archive, and hand-painted seven unique covers for each one with a motif derived from the lace-patterned endpapers of the catalogue accompanying Stettheimer’s posthumous retrospective, "directed" by Marcel Duchamp at the Museum of Modern Art in 1946.
